Each week, you’ll follow a structured circuit designed to mirror what top collegiate pitchers do in the weight room — only without the expensive gym equipment. Every session combines strength, power, mobility, and pitching-specific movements that build the explosive foundation needed for velocity and control.

These workouts are modeled after the same training methods Coach D used with Megan, who went from a 14-year-old beginner to a Power 4 pitcher at Indiana University. Meet the Coaches Behind The Advanced Velocity Training Program

Coach D – Founder of DR3 Fastpitch

I started DR3 Fastpitch with one mission: to educate, empower, and equip softball players and their parents with the knowledge and training they need to build confident, resilient athletes on and off the field.

With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education and more than a decade of experience coaching pitchers across the country, I’ve helped hundreds of athletes understand not just how to pitch, but why their movements matter.

This program isn’t about me—it’s about the players who believed in the process. The ones who showed up, worked hard, stayed consistent, and learned to block out the noise of “you can’t.”

Coach Megan – From Student to Power 4 Pitcher

Megan came to me at 14 years old, tall, driven, and determined. She had only six months of pitching experience, and most people said it was too late to start.

I told her, “If you’ve got the will, there’s always a way.”

From the very beginning, Megan gave everything she had. She faced rejection, doubt, and plenty of “no’s.” Coaches told her she’d never pitch varsity, that she’d never play at the next level. But she never stopped working. Every setback became motivation. Every “no” became fuel.

Through years of perseverance, Megan earned a scholarship to play at Campbell University, and today she’s a junior pitcher at Indiana University, competing at the Power Four level.

She’s living proof that determination, hard work, and belief can take you anywhere.

Her Arsenal Includes:

  • Curveball, Riseball, and Change-Up with multiple variations
  • Velocity consistently between 61–64 MPH, chasing 65+ before graduation
  • Megan’s journey from late starter to elite college pitcher is what inspired this program. Together, we built The Advanced Velocity Training Program to help pitchers move from good to dominant—on their own terms and through relentless effort.
