The Power of Triangles in Fastpitch Softball Pitching Mechanics

Focusing on body “triangles” are important in pitching and athletic movements because they provide a stable base for the body to generate power and transfer energy through the kinetic chain. Having a strong triangle formed by the legs, hips, core, and arms allows for a more efficient transfer of energy from the lower body to the upper body, resulting in a more powerful pitch or movement. Additionally, having a stable triangle can also help to improve balance and control, which can lead to better accuracy and consistency. Overall, having a strong and stable triangle position & drive is key to optimal performance in fastpitch pitching.
