The 4-7-8 Breathing Challenge for Softball Pitchers

Instructions:

  • Sit or stand comfortably in a relaxed position.
  • Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four seconds.
  • Hold your breath for a count of seven seconds.
  • Exhale slowly and completely through your mouth for a count of eight seconds.
  • Repeat the cycle for a designated number of rounds, aiming to maintain a steady rhythm and focus on each breath.

Challenge:

  • Start with completing three rounds of the four-seven-eight breathing technique.
  • Gradually increase the number of rounds as you become more comfortable with the exercise.
  • Challenge yourself to maintain a consistent pace and deepen your breaths with each round.
