The term "Student Athlete" can feel both like a badge of honor and a burden at the same time.  It's difficult to be an athlete, a friend, a daughter, and a student all at the same time.  One of the most important lessons to learn early in your journey of being a student athlete is time management and discipline.

Proper time management will help you stay engaged with all aspects of your life and avoid the feeling of "burn out" in one area.  What worked best for me in my time as a student athlete was dedicating 60% of my time to school and softball - and yes, some weeks that would look like 40% school & 20% softball or vice versa - with the other 40% of my time being dedicated towards spending time with family/ friends and REST!
